The idea behind Verellen was born in Belgium and fine tuned in the US. They handcraft eight-way hand tied frames made from sustainably sourced wood, curated recycled metal coils and materials, and plant-based cushions. They place an emphasis on staying connected with nature through each step of the processes, crafting a forever piece that stays within your family for generations.
About Verellen sustainability
Verellen furniture is constructed of hardwood maple, ash, walnut and CARB2 compliant hardwood plywood. They use 100% recycled steel coil springs and non toxic FDA glue approved for food packaging. The back pillows and seat cushions are made with ethically and humanely harvested down feathers, washed in natural emulsifiers, rinsed, steam dried, and presented in an unbleached down proof ticking, resulting in a debris free hypo allergenic natural fill with exceptional quality and performance. The primary line of cushioning is made from a plant based poly core, and in areas requiring a firmer feel, recycled rebond foam is used. All poly foam used is CertiPUR-US certified and meets Prop 65 requirements. Under Verellen slipcovers, frames are covered with unwashed unbleached cotton muslin.
